THE FUTURE OF PUBLIC MEDIA

Chicago Public Radio has been celebrated for creatively advancing journalism and we’ve been respected as a source of innovation and leadership. Innovation is a competence we’ve worked hard to cultivate and is vitally important if we are to stay responsive to our changing world.

The Campaign for a Sound Future enables Chicago Public Radio to sustain, expand and even reinvent media so that we stay relevant to our community.

The Campaign will bring you the highest quality programming and greater choice—in what you listen to, how you receive it, and when and where you hear it.

Campaign funds have already supported many firsts in radio history; building neighborhood news bureaus and launching Vocalo.org. We don’t depend on corporate advertising and we don’t serve their needs. We do depend on you and we’re here to represent your voice and tell your stories. Read more about our campaign initiatives on this page and I hope you’ll be inspired to make a gift today.
